The weekend at Fellbeck started well for those setting out with sunshine and blue skies... unfortunately by Saturday afternoon the site was completely covered in snow and a full scale blizzard was in progress and showing no sign of abating ! John, Rod and their helpers deserve high praise indeed for setting out a trial in such atrocious weather and they went "beyond the call of duty" before finally calling it a day with 7 sections set out.
Sunday morning again showed promise and apart from the black clouds on the horizon the optimists amongst us were considering taking some layers off. The wind was cutting across the site with some force and was bringing the clouds nearer as the day went on, by dinnertime the rain was starting to turn to hail and after 7 sections the competitors and marshals had had enough and called it a day. In particular the marshals and officials deserve the highest praise and our thanks for persevering in almost unbearable conditions whilst maintaining a good sense of humour.
The large entry once again ensured some stiff competition at all levels and in all classes and this is reflected in the results. In light of the weather conditions no results were posted at the event but are posted below instead:
Some of the score cards were "a tad damp" and difficult to read so if you spot any errors please let me know ! The first group ran the sections in the following order: 3, 5, 6, 7, 4, 1, 2
